My chilli seedlings have been coming along well and I now have 15 different varieties growing, including rocoto orange and naga jolokia. I have seeds waiting to be sown of another 15 varieties as well. The seedling I am most proud of is still the venezuelan purple though :) pics below the cut

I picked these habaneros from my garden and from a few plants in pots last weekend. I sent them along with departing houseguests to a friend in their town, because unlike a lot of the fine folk here, my palate can't handle the arse-nukes (heh--that's what the hubby calls them)! My jalapenos that are still growing on the plant have some black smears on them. They don't appear to be rotting (no change in texture or firmness) and they seem to continue to grow despite the change in color. I ate my first one the other day and it was excellent- extremely spicy and flavorful.
Anyone know if these black marks are an issue?

Any ideas about what might be up with my bell pepper plant? It's been very hot lately so I thought it might be thirsty, but daily waterings haven't helped. It was fertilized a few weeks ago, so between food, water, and sun I'm out of ideas.
